The History of SION FELLOWSHIP began in the year 1974 with late Rev. Y.S. John Babu in response to the call of God. He started a ministry, with a small congregation in Armoor called "SION FELLOWSHIP", as inspired by God. In the year 1979, due to the divine connection of Rev. John Babu with Rev. Alan Vincent and Sis. Eileen Vincent, he was guided to establish Churches with "Kingdom Vision", which is the very foundation of SION FELLOWSHIP.

"SION"(ZION) is the name of highest peak of mount Moriah. It is symbolic of the Supreme Authority of God. Therefore the VISION of SION FELLOWSHIP is to establish churches to reach the highest pinnacle of God's Kingdom to crush the enemy (Satan) under our feet ( I John 3:8) and to establish the will of God on earth, as it is in Heaven ( Matt 6:10).

Following are some of the main aspects to build the Church in the Vision
  1. Matt 16:18 "………. and on this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it."
  2. Rom 14:17 "For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of Righteousness, Peace and Joy in the Holy Spirit."
  3. Acts 15:16 "After this I will return and rebuild David's fallen tent. Its ruins I will rebuild and I will restore it.
  4. Eph 4:11-13 Focusing on each and every member and family of the Church to grow into the likeness of God. Developing all five fold ministry in the Church
